A Message to DME Leadership
In today’s environment if you blink you have missed something important that has an impact on your business. Making good decisions at the right time is critical. Ensuring that there is follow-through and implementation on those decisions is imperative to staying alive in the industry. The Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation knows that creating, implementing and evaluating strong, ethical business practices is a challenge. The Focus Assessment is for your use as a self-imposed evaluation of how well you know your business and it’s effectiveness. Use the Focus Assessment as a management tool, ask all employees to complete it, use the results as a way to open discussion about areas that can use improvement. This tool is created to assist you in being objective about where you and/or employees rate your organization. It is meant to be a starting point in the accreditation process and more importantly, a starting point in opening discussion and improvement strategies that will go beyond accreditation.
